  46. I have been doing some further testing and it turned out that when I changed the DMA  port numbers down from 6 & _ to 5 & 6, my BIOS error disappeared and I have a feeling that everything is working more smoothly.
  47. After this observation, I checked the SYSTEM.INI file and found in the Gravis section that the REC_MODE DMA had the value 7. This was conflicting with my DMA settings as mentioned above. The installation proces must set up the fixed value 7 for  recording.
