  18. Hi GUS musicians!
  19. Forgive me if this has been asked before but has anyone got the Miracle
  20. Piano Tutor (DOS Version) working with just the gus (no additional soundcard
  21. or MPU401 adaptor?
  22.  
  23. The installation program for it lets me select from MPU401, Soundblaster or
  24. Prosound Audio midi interface cards.  If I choose MPU401 and run MEGAEM the
  25. Miracle Tutor plays its general midi sounds but does not respond to my
  26. external midi keyboard and to use the pogram as per its design it needs to
  27. read MIDI in signals to find out if the student is making mistakes.

  29. I have a gus version 3.7, version 4.11 of the Gravis Install disks.  MIDI in
  30. and out are working fine under windows , and at least MIDI in is just fine
  31. under dos with programs in native mode (like MIDIFIER).

  33. I noticed in the readme file for MEGAEM that "the next version" will have
  34. MPU401 midi port emulation, so is there a newer version where this has been
  35. implimented?  Should I use some other emulation like SBOS instead?
  36.

  66. I get that too it I find that very, very annoying and frustrating.  Let's 
  67. see, the last time I was able to use my keyboard using this method was 
  68. about a week ago.  Since then, Win95 locks up on me everytime I turn on 
  69. the keyboard with a sequencer running.

  71. BTW, the Gravis person said "try different DMAs or IRQs"...  I remember 
  72. in the UltraSound MIDI setup, there was a DMA to fill in.  What DMA must 
  73. this be?  Same as the GUS Playback or Recording DMA Channel?
