  20. There is a bibliography on synthesizers, midi, computer and electronic
  21. music that I have collected from various sources. I have tried to bring
  22. some structure into it, but not all books will fit into a single subject.
  23. NOTE: I haven't read these books, and the comments are from other people.

  59. Hi all musicians still using a GUS.
  60.  
  61. First off I can't believ that there hasn't been a rash of mail from any of
  62. the GUS groups about the Win95 drivers.  They just aren't working for me and
  63. I can't believe they are working for all of you.
  64.  
  65. Here's my problem.  I seem to recall when I was using the Win3.1 drivers
  66. under Windows 95 that the MIDI tab in the Multimedia Control Panel had the
  67. "Add New Instrument" button enabled.  Using the Win95 drivers for the GUS
  68. this is enabled.
  69. In fact I get no reference to the MIDI output port anywhere.

  71. If anyone out there is seeing what I am not, please let me know.  Do I need
  72. to install ultmport.drv.  If so how?  Win.ini, sys.ini, registry?

  74. My K2000 misses being connected to my GUS.  
  75.  
  76. Note I have no GUS drivers installed in config.sys or autoexec.bat.  The
  77. only GUS related line that is not rem'd out in my autoexec.bat is

  81. which I need or else Win95 complains on start up (however, the drivers still
  82. work).

  108. Good point, I had not even tried it yet.  I guess you want to map to the
  109. external
  110. port?  I don't see any way to do it either.  Not from Cakewalk or Media Player,
  111. anyway.  It seems external port may be defined by an Instrument
  112. Definition File at best, and if at all with the current driver version.
