  30. The reason the FAQ lists Cubase as patch caching is that I saw a prerelease
  31. version at a show 3 years ago that did just this.  I guess it never made general
  32. release.
  33. I use an old version of cakewalk and the 'quick patch loader' available from
  34. the ftp site.
  35. Please please please email me if you find any mistakes like this in 
  36. the GUS midi music FAQ

  56. Calkwalk Pro supports basic patch caching. You can tell it to update
  57. patch caches, and it does so based on the patches you're currently
  58. using, which is good. However, it has no provision to support any kind
  59. of patch banks on the GUS, so you're limited to 128 patches if you
  60. want Calkewalk to control them. This isn't bad if you're using the GM
  61. set that comes with Cakewalk, but it is if you have 100's of others to
  62. choose from on disk, and would like to be able to get to them in some
  63. reasonable fashion.
