  41. Hi fellow GmUSicians,

  43. I have a GUS MAX (512kB) and I wondered if the following is possible:

  45. When you use Cakewalk Profesional for Windows it is possible to 
  46. trigger a .WAV sample in your sequence. However, it can't rescale the 
  47. sample. Is the GUS MAX capable of doing this or is Cakewalk not 
  48. capable of doing this.
  49. I.E. When I record say my own voice, I would like to trigger this 
  50. sample from my keyboard and let the GUS tune up and down this sample 
  51. according to the keys I press on my keyboard.
  52. In other words; use the GUS as a sampler !
  53. Question: Is this possible? If so, should I use other software ?

  80. I have one of the old Phillips single speed CD drives, and if you have
  81. the DOS drivers installed and working when you install Win95 it will 
  82. continue to work after Windows 95 is installed.  w95 continues to use 
  83. config.sys and autoexec.bat just as DOS did.
  84.  
  85. However GUS support is another matter; contrary to what everyone's saying
  86. here, I lost my GUS support in Win95.  The first time, I installed Win95 
  87. first, then got a DOS box and installed the drivers.  Win95 hung the next
  88. time I rebooted.  So I uninstalled Windows 95 which put me back in Windows 3.11,
  89. ran the GUS install from DOS, made sure it worked in Windows 3.11, then re-
  90. installed Win95.  It still hung on bootup.  So I uninstalled it again 
  91. (both times I had to boot in "safe mode" and put up with 640 x 480 and
  92. no mouse to get to the uninstall program in the control panel) and the
  93. GUS still worked in 3.11 without having to be re-installed, and I haven't
  94. changed it since.

  108. Can anybody here help me on clean samples of animals sounds? More
  109. specifically: I'm looking for a sample containing the mating-call of a male
  110. moose!
  111. Any help or suggestions appreciated, thank you...

  124. launching it's own WWW Page on November 1st at www.gravis.com. Until today I ahve had no luck connecting to the site. Has anybody heard anything about it?
