  2.                  CD-ROM INSTALLATION LATEST INFORMATION

  5. This file contains information not available  during the  printing  of
  6. the manual.  Please read them before you proceed with any installation 
  7. procedure.

  16. 1. LOCK/UNLOCK UTILITY
  17.  
  18.    The new Creative CD-ROM drive has a software lock/unlock feature.
  19.    The lock function allows you to disable the  "EJECT" button while
  20.    the unlock function enables it.  By locking the CD-ROM  drive, you
  21.    can prevent accidental ejection of the CD.
  22.  
  23.    The LOCKCD and UNLOCKCD utilities are provided for this purpose.

  25.         LOCKCD.EXE     - use for locking the CD-ROM drive
  26.         UNLOCKCD.EXE   - use for unlocking the CD-ROM drive

  29.    i)   LOCKING THE CD-ROM DRIVE

  31.         Usage: LOCKCD d1: [d2: d3: ... ]
  32.  
  33.         Type LOCKCD  followed by the name of the  CD-ROM  drive to  be
  34.         locked.  More than one drive can be locked at the same time by
  35.         typing  LOCKCD,  followed  by the  drive  names, with  a space
  36.         separating each drive name.

  38.         Example: To lock drives D, E and F, type LOCKCD D: E: F:

  40.         Type LOCKCD /? at the DOS prompt for a brief on-line usage
  41.         description.

  43.    ii)  UNLOCKING THE CD-ROM DRIVE

  45.         Usage: UNLOCKCD d1: [d2: d3: ... ]
