- 1 - What is Fire in the Soul?
- ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
-
- Fire in the Soul is the first of the MindWarp Music Disks from Immortal
- Software Productions. It's a compilation of the best music that our Sound
- Specialist, better known as Muzikman has to offer.
-
- ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
- 2 - Fire in the Soul's system requirements
- ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
-
- To run Fire in the Soul you will need the following hardware:
-
- A 386SX or above processor
- A VGA or above monitor
- A Gravis Ultrasound, Sound Blaster or 100% compatible audio card.
-

- 3 - Setting up Fire in the Soul
- ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
-
- Setting up Fire in the Soul is easy. Simply expand the distribution archive to
- any directory and type FITS from the DOS prompt to run it. Please take note
- of two things though:
-
- 1. The name of the distribution archive should be FITS10.ZIP. However, some
- bulletin boards have their software setup to convert archives to a different
- type after they are uploaded. In this case, the distribution archive may be
- called something like FITS10.ARJ or FITS10.LZH, but the letters before the
- extension should never change from FITS10. If this is the case, please contact
- Immortal Software Productions by using one of the methods detailed in section 5
- of this documentation.
-
- 2. MusicDiscPlayer (MDP) will NOT run under Microsoft Windows. If you
- attempt to run it under this environment, it will say that no sound card was
- detected. We have also not tested MDP with the OS/2 operating system so it
- may or may not work under that environment.

- 4 - Using the MusicDiscPlayer (MDP) menu/player system
- ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
-
- The MusicDiscPlayer (MDP) system is an easy to use interface for music disks
- that was designed and programmed by Future Crew. Using it is easy:
-
- 1. Press the up and down arrow keys to select the song that you wish to play
- and press Enter on that song to play it.
- 2. Press ESC to switch between the menu and the player.
- 3. Press F7 to shell to DOS. *
- 4. Press F10 to quit MDP.
- 5. Press + or - to increase or decrease the player volume. *
- 6. Press S to switch between mono and stereo playing mode. *
- 7. Use the left and right arrow keys to move forwards or backwards through
- a song's patterns.
