- Here is a handy tip for all of you people who want to use
- GIF pictures as Windows 3.0 wallpaper.
-
- 1. Download and register the VPIC utility by Bob Montgomery
- ($15! It's a deal!)
-
- 2. Use VPIC to view the image you want as wallpaper.
-
- 3. When you have the image you want on the screen, type 'Z'
- to save it as a ZSOFT .PCX file.
-
- 4. Exit VPIC and run Windows 3.0
-
- 5. Run Windows Paintbrush and load the .PCX file you saved in step 3
-
- 6. Save it as a .BMP file to the directory where all of your
- Windows supplied wallpaper is.
-
- 7. Exit Paintbrush.
-
- 8. Now use the Control Panel to change your wallpaper. The
- file you saved should now be on the list.
-
- 9. Now enjoy!
