Getting Started:
----------------

     Welcome to the Shareware Game Pak for Windows(tm)! Although, an
understanding of the use of Microsoft(tm) Windows(tm) is helpful in
getting the full enjoyment out of this disc, it is not required. This
document breaks down all of the directories on this disc as well as the
game in each directory. Information on installing the games is listed
by directory name.

     If you are a first time Windows(tm) user or you are not familiar with
some of the basic concepts of Windows(tm) we would like to encourage
you to pick up your Windows(tm) 3.1 Users Guide (Your Windows(tm) 3.1
Users Guide should have come with the Windows(tm) 3.1 program discs or with
your computer if it came with Windows(tm).) and review a few of the
processes required to run files and manager groups/files under Windows. The
following sections will give you valuable information on concepts you will
need to be familiar with in order to use this disc.

in the chapters above or if you are an experienced user, you can skip
the above reading and get right on to the fun.

The Shareware Concept - What is Shareware?:

Shareware program authors have released to the public, copyrighted
programs. These programs are not Public Domain or Freeware. You are
encouraged to try each program for a limited time, as defined in the
program author's documentation. If you find the program useful you are
required to register with the author. Registration entitles you to use
of the program and any incentives offer by the author. Most author's
only provide technical support to registered users, so this is another
great reason to register. Please help keep the shareware concept alive

programs on this disc, but due to the fact that the programs are such
diverse in nature, we simply are not geared to support these programs.
We suggest that you follow the author's support information in the
manuals for each program and we encourage you to contact the author
directly with your questions and comments. Most authors are more than
happy to answer any questions you might have. Besides, most authors
just like to know that someone is getting some enjoyment out of their
hard work.

Using The Programs On The Disc:
-------------------------------

    All of the programs can be used by one of two (2) types of
installation methods. For the advanced users convenience, all of the
files on this disc are also in ZIP format in each directory. Files on
this disc can not be run directly from the disc. You must copy the files
to your hard disk.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Method 1 - Move Files / Create Program  / Create Icon / Run File:
-----------------------------------------------------------------

    To run a file that requires a method one install do the following:

(1) Select A Game you would like to try

    Tips - Look Through the list find a game you like. Also, note the
       name of the directory the game is stored in. You might want
       to write this down.

(2) Create a directory on your hard disk

    Tips - You can use the "MD" command from DOS or File Manager's "Make
       Directory" function from within Windows.

(3) Copy all of the files from the directory on the CD-ROM to your
    computer's hard disk drive

    Tips - You can either use a DOS command like "COPY Z:\13OUT\*.*"
       or you can use File Manager's "Drag and Drop" and place each of
       the files in the proper directory.

(4) Once the files are in the proper directory, you still need to create
    program group to store the file in as well and an icon for inside
    the program group.

    Tips - Use the Program Manager to create a Group and once the group
       has been created, use add program item function to add the
       file's icon to your program group. Remember that the file you
       select to add to the group should have an extension of EXE.
       The browse button is handy for assisting in adding program
       items to the program group.

(5) Double Click on the Icon of the Program Item to Start The Program.

Method 2 - The Program has it's own Install or Setup Program that will
       do it all for you:

(1) Locate the Install or Setup Program On The CD-ROM Drive

(2) Use Program Manager's RUN Command to Execute the Install or Setup
    Program

(3) Follow the Instructions from the Setup or Install Program


Once again we would like to take the time to remind you that if you are
not familiar with the concepts presented here, please take the time to
review the Chapters and Pages in the Windows 3.1 manual. Reading of this
information can be quite helpful.

A Few More Quick Tips:
----------------------

(A) Disk space on your hard drive is valuable. Remember to delete the games
    and directories of games on your hard drive that you are not using.
    This can be done with MS-DOS(tm) or File Manager in Windows(tm).

(B) Don't forget to delete icons and groups for deleted files. This can
    be done using the program manager under Windows. (See your Windows 3.1
    manual for additional information on deleting Groups and Icons.)

(C) If something is wrong and a game is not working. Read, Print, or look
    at the READ.ME files included with each game. Most games have some sort
    of documentation. You can use the Windows Note Pad application to view
    text files from within Windows.

(D) If you are having a problem with the disc that you can not solve, please
    feel free to send us a FAX with the information. Please include system
    configuration (Hardware, Processor Type, Size Of Hard Disk, Amount of
    RAM, Type Of VGA Card, amount of VRAM on VGA Card, and a complete copy
    of your CONFIG.SYS/AUTOEXEC.BAT/WIN.INI/SYSTEM.INI) along with an exact
    copy of the problem/error message or problem information to: [phone].

(E) Remember... Shareware only works if you register it! Please take the time
    to register the games on this disc that you continue to use and make an
    author happy!
