  5. Comp-U-tutor is a project developed under a grant from the Boston Public Schools

  7. Horace Mann Teacher Grant, 1987.  It was developed by Ken and Elaine Woodward

  9. use at Boston Latin School and Copley Square International High School.

  11. Vocabulary accompanies the texts French for Mastery and Spanish for Mastery by

  19.     The program disk should contain the following files:

  35. DATA FILES  --
  36.  
  37.     Fl-menu.dat is a file that provides the data for the pull-down menus.
  38. The other data files may be changed using an editor which produces ASCII files.
  39. each line contains a foreign word and its definition.  They are separated by a
  40. comma, but no added spaces.  The program reads the entire line and then divides
  41. the character string at the comma.
  42.     Each data file contains five hundred lines.  This could be changed in
  43. the source code to allow longer files, however longer files require longer to
  44. load.
  45.     Files 1 and 2 are drawn from the first year book and file 3 begins the
  46. second year.

  50. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS  --

  52.     The program was designed to run on the IBM-PC with Color Graphics Card
  53. and Color Monitor.  It will also run on monochrome systems.    The program was
  54. written and tested on a Zenith 150, so it should be expected to run on most
  55. PC clones.

  60.     Version 1.1 contains expanded vocabulary files, modifications which
  61. enable the program to run on monochrome systems, and other slight enhancements.
