  68. Don't copy the graphics to your HTML directory, just use the URL of each 
  69. image in your document (the <IMG SRC=...> tag) to refer to that 
  70. graphic. 
  71. That way you avoid keeping extra copies of all these GIFs around.

  75. Get your site administrator to download the file mentioned below.
  76. Please <B>do not</B> include links to the gifs on our server as we don't
  77. have the capacity to serve gifs for everyone's homepages.  Also our
  78. server may be undergoing surgery/hacking and the gifs will be unavailable.

  91. <H2>The Whole Enchilada</H2>
  92. The gifs and HTML pages have been collected in a 450K 
  93. [<A HREF="http://www-pcd.stanford.edu/gifs/gifs.tar.Z">gifs.tar.Z</A>] file and
  94. a [<A HREF="http://www-pcd.stanford.edu/gifs/gifs.zip">zip file</A>].  
  95. Set the <CODE>Options|Load to disk</CODE> on in Mosaic if you want to save 
  96. the file instead of viewing it.
  97. <P>
  98. Place it just
  99. under the document root on your server and users can refer
  100. to the icons on your server using <CODE>/gifs/arrow/plain/up</CODE>
  101. instead of a full HTTP reference.<P>
