  1.                         Contents of ACM Toms

  3.  All the routines in this directory came originally from the Algorithms
  4. published by the ACM, in their Transaction of Mathematical Software.  They
  5. were mostly downloaded via JANET, by C.Johnson. Rod Ferguson adapted them
  6. for use on the Acorn scientific co-processor. They have all been tested and
  7. modified if necessary for the Archimedes by K.M.Crennell, for distribution
  8. with the 'Fortran Friends' libraries on the PD-f77 disc.  Your attention is
  9. drawn to the 'Copyright' file explaining the conditions under which these
  10. routines may be copied for public domain purposes.
