- Sphererot is a demo program illustrating the use of sprite
- routines from the PD_F77 library to manipulate objects made up of
- collections of spheres.

- To Start: Click on the application !SphereRot
-
- This should prompt you for what mode you are using, one of 27,12,9.
- If the sprite file exists for that mode, it will be read, otherwise
- you will be asked whether you want to Make (M) the sprite file, or change
- mode (C). These sprite files take a little time to calculate, but you may
- not to want to store them permanently on your disc as they are quite big.
- After the sprite file has been read or made, the default object (number 6)
- should appear on the screen with a list of valid keys above it.

- To translate the position on the screen press the cursor keys.
- To make it smaller press the mouse 'Select' button.
- To make it bigger press the mouse 'Adjust' button.
- To rotate it, twist the mouse.
- To stop the program press the 'Q' key.

- There are 8 pre-defined objects, the default is number 6.
- To see the others just press their number (see list below)
- 2 keys read data files in Shakal and Pluto formats.

- 6 Several unit cells of a NaCl structure
- 7 2 unit cells of a Body Centred Cubic structure
- 8 Unit cell of a Face Centred cubic structure
- 9 read a data file in Shakal format (e.g. ZeoliteSH)
- 0 read a data file in Pluto format (as interpreted by the OUP DTMM)
- (e.g. BenzeneDTM, CyclohxDTM, GaAsDTM)
- Q stop the program
