  5. This is the Acorn Replay Work directory. It acts in much the same way as !Scrap
  6. except that the files within it will tend to be much larger than most
  7. applications' temporary files. Therefore it should be placed on the drive with
  8. the most free space and should be 'seen' by the filer before running any of the
  9. applications that use it.
  10.  
  11. Normally when an application quits it will delete its work directory and its
  12. contents. If the applicaton quits unexpectedly then you will find work files
  13. in here which may be moved out if needed.
  14.  
  15. Current users of this directory are :-
  16.  
  17. ReplayDIY:    Creates a directory 'ReplayDIY' and puts recorded movies, sound
  18.               files and other temporary files there.
  19.  
  20. AREncode:     Creates a directory 'AREncode' and stores the temporary files
  21.               required by the compressor there. May also store files that were
  22.               saved from other applications in here.
  23.  
  24.               Note AREncode may leave work directories in here after it has
  25.               quit so that you can continue compression at a later stage.
  26.  
  27. Empire:       Creates a directory 'Empire' and stores the working Output file
  28.               as well as files that have been saved from other applications and
  29.               other temporary files as needed.

  31. EmConvert:    Creates a directory 'EmConvert' and stores temporary files and the
  32.               converted movie in there.
