  17.     UUCP stands for Unix-to-Unix Communications Protocol.  It is "network"
  18. software that allows file copies, mail, and Usenet news (such as vmsnet.uucp!)
  19. to be transfered.  Typically, this is done using telephone lines.  The
  20. computers call each other up and pass along any traffic that they may have.

  22.     If you have a direct link to Internet, then you probably don't need
  23. UUCP.  You already have something better!  However, with UUCP, you could allow
  24. other local computers to dial in to your system and pass mail along, and
  25. have your system gateway it to the Internet for them.  There are many sites
  26. in the U.S. that do this.
