- advertising spend on the "Low Call" and "Lifetime" services is that Mercury
- are rumoured to be about to launch a competing service at a fraction of the
- price. Hence the existing duopoly is trying to get as many people as
- possible to sign the low-rate tariff contracts, which specify that you have
- to give them 12 months' notice to cancel your subscription.
