- In the past I have experienced this problem in Britain, when the cards
- were more closely tied to banks, so you needed a Barclay's account (if
- you were a shop/restaurant etc) to pay in your slips to. This is not so
- much of a problem now, since most banks support both sorts of card!

- I have experienced having my VISA refused in Germany (West), but Access
- accepted at the same hotel. I carrry one of each sort of card (both fee
- free) to guard against this possibility.
