- A prototype is being developed on Bill Evans' personal SCO Xenix-based
- system, tcsrtp. Greg Woodbury is also working with Evans to develop the
- prototype. Woodbury is writing a FAQ on Unix BBS software (Frequently
- Asked Questions with answers) for Usenet and therefore will be able to
- offer a comprehensive list of possible systems configurations.

- The following are some of the current activities of this group:

- Explore and evaluate existing systems and recommend interface
- guidelines; draft system use policies and have them reviewed
- by legal experts as necessary; and build and test prototypes
- of various interfaces.

- This committee feels that it is difficult to design menu
- interfaces without knowing what kind of data would be served. They
- have decided against the "city" metaphor used by Cleveland and
- some of the other FreeNets.
