  13.    I need to build a solid-state compass for a project I'm working
  14. on. I found plans for a solid-state compass in Don Lancaster's
  15. "Hardware Hacker" column, in the December 1988 issue of
  16. _Radio-Electronics_.

  18.    The first thing I need to acquire is the fluxgate magnetometer. I
  19. figure it won't be TOO hard to construct myself, but I can't find the
  20. toroidal core for the fluxgate sensor. Don Lancaster lists it as a
  21. "Magnetics 50086-2F".

  23.    If someone could give me the dimensions and composition of this
  24. core, then I can look for a substitute here in Toronto.

  26.    Also, if anyone has built a solid-state compass, it would be nice
  27. to hear feedback, re: tricks, difficulty of fluxgate construction,
  28. etc.
