  24. about the study in question, which is not concerned at all with trying to
  25. promote a political position in any way. this study is not trying to assess
  26. the prevalence of sexual assault in the population.  it is studying the
  27. recovery process of actual victims.  thus, it makes no sense to survey
  28. potential subjects who are known a priori not to have been victims of
  29. sexual assault.
