- because the embryo does not *become* a fish, which that word implied.

- ancestors of 100+ million years ago, is revealed by the steps an
- embryo takes. There is no rational explanation for much of biology
- (make that *most* of biology) if you take away the idea of common
- descent. Why should all mammals be so alike in ways that are useless
- to them?
