- The estimates of collective dose are based on, among other things, the
- recorded data from TLD's that were placed in the environs. The
- uncertainty reflects potential errors. Using the actual releases to
- project doses is a bit less "certain".

- Measured depositions in soil and vegetation, not to mention actual
- measurements of radionuclide levels in live bodies, can of course
- provide excellent secondary estimates of the effects of releases.

- BTW, the detailed evaluations of health impacts in the region indicate
- that there have been none. Psychological effects, anxiety, tension,
- etc., have been observed.
