such fun to hear of disasters and untimely deaths and misery and all that.
even a cloudy day lifts my spirits: sunshine is annoying and distracts one
from ennui and hatred and other such suitable things, yes.  drunkenness
just provides delusions of grandeur and so on, and a touch of anodyne: too
dulling. all those tanker spills, they've kept me going for the past few
weeks; i'd like to think i'd helped them happen but have no illusions that
way: i know that i am powerless and can have only slight influence even
over my own fate. the thought of those journalists getting nearly blown
over by the wind in scotland is even faintly, ever so faintly, cheering.
so few things i can do: litter, refuse to recycle, drive my car so as to
maximize its inefficiency and increase, ever so slightly, the level of
pollutants that it produces. if the climate were warmer here i could plant
kudzu seeds i suppose

i wonder who would be good stew meat?
