  11. the other day, i was visited by a representative of some clean water or air
  12. group who was asking for contributions to her cause. she whined on and on
  13. about how certain companies were going to destroy the earth and other such
  14. nonsense. she insisted that i should be grateful for the wonderful service her
  15. organization would be providing me if i gave a donation. at the end of her
  16. emotional, yet obviously well-rehearsed speech, she asked me how much i wanted
  17. to contribute. i told her to wait right where she was while i got my donation.
  18. when i came back, i had a little surprise for her. i brought out a styrofoam
  19. cup and ignited a match beneath it. 'mmm, nothing smells quite like it', i
  20. said, inhaling the smoke. she, annoyed, moved on to the next house, her clogs
  21. banging noisily as she did so. hell, she makes more than i do, why should i
  22. give her my money?
