  17. So, she kept on telling me how Dave Murray [1] kept on making passes
  18. at her, how Butch Morris [2] said she was the most beautiful sight he
  19. had seen that day, how Steve Lacy [3] wanted to spend the night with
  20. her.  And all the while, I kept on saying "So you met Dave Murray?
  21. Wow... So you met Steve Lacy? Wow... So you met Butch Morris? Wow..."
  22. I was awed and jealous. And I kept on saying "Stop it. I don't wanna
  23. hear anymore. I said stop it. Stop it!!" The sad part is, all that
  24. made me angry is that I was jealous because she got to know all those
  25. wonderful people, and little else.

  27. And all I got to meet was Branford Marsalis [4], Kenny Kirkland [5],
  28. Bob Hurst [6] and Jeff Watts [7]. And nobody famous made passes at me.

  31. story, and whenever I want to impress someone by saying "I met WG and
  32. he took my address and all," all they end up saying is "who the hell
  33. is WG?"
