  10. Some years ago there was a magazine ad featuring a portrait-style photograph
  11. of a Japanese engineer; underneath it was the caption, in large letters,
  12. "I am you," followed by text.

  14. That, or my memory is playing tricks on me.

  16. If I recall, the text did not adequately explain the caption but ended with
  17. a repetition of its words.
