- My entire CD collection numbers four:
-
- John Coltrane, Live at the Half-Note
- Garland Jeffreys, Take Me to the Matador and More
- Garland Jeffreys, Don't Call Me Buckwheat
- Eric Clapton, Unplugged
-
- Thus, until I buy a record of diminished coolness
- (basically, any other CD except maybe more Trane
- or Garland J., and some of Lyle Lovett's or Joe
- Cocker's), I will temporarily own the CD collection
- with the highest average coolness in the history
- of the recording medium.
-
- Some CD's I will never have: anything by Elton John,
- Kenny G., or Van Morrison.
-
- They'll pack my nostrils with Gleem and heave me
- gibbering into Mt. Kilauea before I'll do that.
