  12. When I visited Cancun a couple of years ago, I spent more time
  13. in the jungles, stumbling over unearthed ruins, than I did in
  14. the bars and discos of syntho-downtown. And learning Mayan
  15. glyphs, learning to count, stuff like that. My companion was
  16. fortunately of the same mind, she being an adventurous German
  17. woman. A friend who goes back ten years, a dear person.

  19. It made me very angry to hear that when the Spanish arrived, they
  20. immediately burned all the Mayan Codices they could find. They
  21. destroyed all but parts of four which survived till today.

  23. I would very much like to stuff the Catholic Church. They disgust
  24. me probably to a similar extent as the JWs disgust CJ.

  26. I think I am still angry with them. If I were Immune, I would consider
  27. burning a large Bible on the steps of the Vatican. Then a couple of   
  28. young Catholic priests, perhaps, impaled on stakes before the eyes
  29. of Old Asphalt Breath. I suppose that this is juvenile, but at least
  30. my anger with this disgusting institution has remained fairly constant
  31. for at least twenty five years, so I call would call it "deeply felt".

  36. and the blackbrained power freak? Truth alone won't hack it.
