- Post the GIFs anyway.

- I do not have pierced ears. I never wear jewellery of any type. I have a
- matt black Casio wristwatch, and matt black Italian-designed frames on my
- glasses; apart from my clothes, that's it.
-
- For Christmas, Helen bought me some moderately expensive perfume. (Of
- course, I'm not supposed to refer to it that way because it doesn't sound
- macho, but let's be honest, it's perfume.) I didn't think much of the idea;
- I don't really want to smell of anything except soap and deo-perspirant.
-
- Eventually I decided it was a sort of territorial marker, like the way cats
- rub themselves against you to mark you with their scent, and I'm getting used
- to the idea.
-
- I still don't like the idea of having needles shoved through my ears. It
- took quite a while for Helen to convince me that it didn't hurt to put her
- earrings in.

- Squeamishly and puritanically, mathew
