- Any organization meddling in U.S. politics that has a religious tax
- exemption should have that exemption removed. Sorry if I confused you
- into thinking I'm only against Catholics in this area.

-
- Remember, anti-KKK activities aren't political; i.e., the KKK is not
- going to be voted on as a U.S. law, nor are they part of the government.

-
- That's not the point. I'd prefer that none of these entities, including
- the pope, be telling me what to do.
-

-
- I imagine that's the case sometimes. What's the point?

-

-
- It was exactly, Douglas. The RCC is not paying taxes that it should because
- of its poltical activity, which activity is specifically forbidden in
- order for the Church to *get* that tax exemption.
-
- >I merely stated that
- >all Catholics cannot build cathedrals, as we don't all have the cash, tax
- >breaks or no. Sorry for confusing you.
-
- You're still confusing me. And probably missing my point: the Church
- doesn't deserve its tax-exempt status which allows it to BUILD those
- cathedrals.
-
- The fact that "all Catholics", I guess you mean the members of the
- Church collectively, cannot afford cathedrals on their own is irrelevant
- and doesn't get much sympathy from me anyway. In fact, none.
