  34.     (Shrug)  This ground has been plowed knee-deep in the past.  The term
  35. "unborn child", aside from being an oxymoron, is emotionalistic sloganeering.
  36. They are not *persons*.  A pregnant woman most certainly is.  Therefore, I
  37. feel her rights are primary.  I am as convinced of the rightness of this
  38. idea as you are of its opposite.
  39.     The State can and should  stay neutral in situations in which
  40. there is no consensus on the correct position.  This is one of them.

  45.     My point was, however, that an abortion is like any other
  46. medical procedure.  Refusing to ban it is not equivalent to encouraging it.

  48. mandatory.
