- (Shrug) This ground has been plowed knee-deep in the past. The term
- "unborn child", aside from being an oxymoron, is emotionalistic sloganeering.
- They are not *persons*. A pregnant woman most certainly is. Therefore, I
- feel her rights are primary. I am as convinced of the rightness of this
- idea as you are of its opposite.
- The State can and should stay neutral in situations in which
- there is no consensus on the correct position. This is one of them.

- My point was, however, that an abortion is like any other
- medical procedure. Refusing to ban it is not equivalent to encouraging it.
- We do not yet live in a society in which everything not forbidden is
- mandatory.
