  28. before the Pill was on the market?  Can I ask why it is that the
  29. sexual revolution predated the widespread notion of women's equality?

  39. birth control is a great good for individuals and for our society.
  40. The Pill turned out to be a mixed blessing, because by eliminating
  41. barrier birth control, it increased STDs significantly.

  49. Which came first?  If birth control pills appeared after the
  50. sexual revolution, you could argue that the revolution caused
  51. the Pill.  But research into the Pill was started in the 1950s,
  52. and the sexual revolution became apparent several years after
  53. the Pill was available.
