  13. The problems with my site I mentioned are for real.  I have trouble
  14. sometimes no matter what group I'm in.  I'm not making up glitches to cover
  15. up flaming someone.

  17. I never meant to post that article.

  19. The terminal I was one DID lock up, and when I said I slipped and hit 'send',
  20. I didn't realize I had sent it until I saw it on the net that evening.

  22. I left the lab thinking I had junked it.  And now the system has lock up
  23. twice while I was making an attempt to find and cancel the article.

  25. I've posted outrageous things on the net, but I swear I would never have
  26. deliberately posted something like that.  The worst I've posted lately have
  27. been jokes about Clinton.

  29. From the moment I started posting the article, I fully intended on junking
  30. it when I was done.

  32. This is not an 'I was only kidding' after the fact message.  I thought by
  33. expaining what happened it would be better than to simply ignore it.

  35. Let me clarify something from the beggining of the post: I logged off
  36. Monday morning honestly thinking I had hit abort.

  38. Think about it:who would post something like that with their name all over
  39. it?

  41. I do not deny that I edited that message.  But I am saying it here and now
  42. that it was a mistake that it ever got out.

  44. I admit, it was a stupid mistake.  If I knew this would happen I would
  45. never have started fooling with the editor like that.

  47. I'm angry with myself that I did something like this without even trying.
  48. That something as stupid on my part as a slipped keystroke could cause all
  49. this.

  51. When I saw the original, my emotions got out of hand, so to vent my fustrations
  52. I decided to edit the message into an ultra-negative anti-abortion message,
  53. but like I said, at the same time planned on junking it when finished.

  55. In fact, I've done this a couple of times before, typed a flame message
  56. only to junk it upon cooling off, never planning to send it in the
  57. first place.

  59. Again I say, this is not a case of 'covering one's ass', so to speak, after
  60. getting into trouble.  In a nutshell, this is my sincere apology to
  61. pro-life and pro-choice persons alike.  I feel pretty rotten that a
  62. stupid mis-typed keystroke has caused so much damage.

  64. Put simply, I f--ed up, and I freely admit it.  I'm trying to apologize,
  65. and I hope this is taken seriously.

  67. Like I said, I've done some outrageous things on the net, but I swear
  68. absolutely that this is the honest truth, totally on the level.
