  34. I'm a 42 year old, white, employed male. Somebody informed me the other
  35. day that I am now the establishment. Frankly, I wouldn't have known had
  36. it not been pointed out to me. I'm no longer, as I have believed, the
  37. disenfranchised. If there is a responsibility that I think ought to be
  38. shouldered, I have to stand up here and do it rather than carping about
  39. the "system". I am the system.

  41. The building of a highway is an acceptance of responsibility. There is
  42. no shirking of responsibility in working together for some common goal.
  43. I am willing to work together with the woman who wants an abortion.

  45. I am willing to help out with the responsilbilites as a tax payer by
  46. asking that my tax dollars be spent on abortions where unwanted pregnancy
  47. has not been prevented. And by asking that no one who seeks an abortion
  48. finds the process made more painful by state imposed obstacles. And
  49. by asking that the woman be allowed to make the decision that she will
  50. have to live with, rather than having those decisions imposed upon her.

  52. This is my will not just because there are too many of us, but because
  53. I can't stomach the idea of sentencing some woman to a course of child
  54. bearing or child rearing for the "crime" of having sex.

  56. I've seen women starving themselves, implanting themselves with deadly
  57. silicon tits and inflated lips.. all sort of self destruction and self 
  58. distortion in what appears to be an attempt to attract men. In this
  59. context, having risky sex may be a mistake, sometimes even an insanity, 
  60. but not a crime. I'm not willing to punish people who appear to me to be
  61. ensnared in this cultural tsunami that inter-gender relations have become.

  63. If I truly saw abortion as murder.. the taking of life, rather than
  64. the prevention of life, I must admit, my thinking might be different.
  65. In fact, I see the blocking of abortion as the depriving of a woman of
  66. her freedom.
