  23. As a pro-lifer who is not merely interested in outlawing abortion but ending
  24. it, I would look forward to reading you book.  I am very interested in the
  25. decision processes people go through. People in crisis don't often have the
  26. presence of mind to examine all the ramification of their decision.  The
  27. unfortunate reality is that the abortion card is so often played because it is
  28. perceived as being the only card dealt.  I place a good deal of the blame for
  29. this on the past two administrations.  On the other hand, even the supposedly
  30. pro-woman abortion advocacy groups themselves admit that their preoccupation
  31. with legalizing abortion has left them taking a back seat to the pro-life
  32. sponsored support systems.

  34. I want this support system to be there, ready and waiting for the woman or
  35. couple in crisis.  In DC there is a woman's shelter I've been involved with
  36. called "Mom's House".  It is an unique arrangement since the pregnant woman may
  37. remain as long as 18 months after giving birth.  Live-in counselling is
  38. provided along with support for finding jobs, health care and child care.  The
  39. goal is to 'graduate' a self-sufficient single mother who has been taught how
  40. to make the best of her situation.  If you are interested in more detailed
  41. info, please let me know.  Also, if you are aware of similar undertakings in
  42. other cities I would be quite interested.  Also, Feminists for Life, an
  43. organization that I belong to, might be interested in obtaining a copy of your
  44. book for their library.
