  22. My mother's friend who had had 7 children once went to the priest asking
  23. what she could possibly do to avoid having more children, because she
  24. was becoming quite frail.  She was told that not only was contraception
  25. not an option (naturally) but that refusal of her husband's advances
  26. was a sin (so the rhyth... I mean NFP was not an option either).  She got
  27. pregnant again and nearly died as a result.  She left the Church thereafter,
  28. and then her husband when she was sure her finances would be OK.
