- Alas, it must also be noted that the Catholic Church (parts of it, at any
- rate), were not quite so moral during the war (see puppet Croatia, among
- others), or after the war, as a matter of fact (remember Klaus Barbie?).

- At the risk of flogging a not-so-recently-deceased equine, I believe what
- Direux is referring to is the bit about the mothers life and welfare
- taking precedence over that of the z/e/f. what this has to do, except
- tangentially, with the above, is beyond your humble scribe's comprehension
- so I'll bail at this point, except to nbote that the Church is actually
- only in conflict only w/ itself, given the argument about baptism. Oh,
- damn - that's what direux was talking about. Sheesh, I feel most
