  26. One reason is that not all stuff sent has the correct date
  27. format. Such messages are refused sent by several systems on
  28. Usenet Netnews. Some mailers are sloppy, others are strict. I get
  29. most post because the thread btw. me and auvm.edu have only
  30. 'sloppy' mailsystems, so I can see my own post sent directly to
  31. Roots-L, but many will never see my post sent from my Lifeline
  32. Mail program because it add an invalid datestamp. Marty discussed
  33. with me if Listserv should bounce back to mailer all messages
  34. sent with a mailer that add a wrong datestamp, but has waited to
  35. do that until I get a new mailer:-)

  37. There are surely many other reasons too. Maybe that could be a
  38. research job for somebody???
