  15. I am new to the net.  I'm asking for any info or suggestions on a line
  16. I've been working on for a long time.

  18. Frederick Leon SILVERS is my maternal grandfather.  On marriage
  19. application, to Delza Elaine BRASHER, he states he was born in IN, father:
  20. Dwight SILVERS, mother: Maggie L. CUMMINGS; married in San Diego, CA, 14
  21. September 1931, age 21.  Parents both born in IN.  Fred L SILVERS lists
  22. himself as 21 on my mother's birth certificate the following March 1932.

  24. In papers filed at time of divorce, address was listed where legal
  25. documents could be sent: 1315 Brookside, Indianapolis, IN.  City directory
  26. lists this as address of Elvia B. CUMMINS, widow of Marion, from 1918
  27. through 1942, when Elvia died.  Elvia's obit for 1942 lists a Maggie
  28. VIERECK as a survivor, who I have been assuming is the same as Maggie L.
  29. CUMMINS who was married to Dwight.

  31. I have followed back several generations Marion and Elvia CUMMINS, on the
  32. assumtion that they are my maternal ggparents.  BUT, Frederick Leon
  33. SILVERS disappeared following the divorce.  My grandmother and mother
  34. refuse to discuss him.  The VIERECK's disappear out of the Indianapolis
  35. City Directory in the 1970's (before I found them there).  IN says they
  36. have no birth certificate for a Frederick Leon SILVERS.  He is not listed
  37. in IGI, or other Family Search files at LDS, including Social Security
  38. Death Index.  Assuming he told truth about age, he should have been born
  39. in 1910/11.
