  15. Over the weekend I have acquired some information
  16. that I was hoping you could help me sort out.  It
  17. appears that several Behnen families lived in the
  18. Emsland (the area surrounding the Ems river by the
  19. German/Dutch boarder by the Hannover and Westfalen
  20. boarders of Germany).

  22. Questions
  23.  
  24. 1)  Which is the most likely emigration route they
  25. would have taken?  It seems to me that the possibilities
  26. were Hamburg and Bremen with the latter being closer
  27. to the general area.  What were the Dutch emigration ports?
  28.  
  29. 2)  I know where I can look to check Hamburg Passenger Lists.
  30. However, does Bremen have a list of passengers through their
  31. port?  Where can I go to check them if so?
  32.  
  33. I would appreciate any input/suggestions you might have.
