  12. I have run into a deadend looking for my ancesotors--JOHN MURRAY
  13. and his wife MARY HOFFSTETTER.  One reference mentions them as
  14. natives of Morgan County, Pennsylvania.  There is no Morgan County,
  15. Pennsylvania and never has been.  However, there are three small
  16. towns by the name of Morgan in Western Pennsylvania.

  18. A John Murray and Peggy Houghstater were married in Jefferson County,
  19. Ohio in the early 1800's.  Is there anyone out there who has researched
  20. the name HOFFSTETTER?  I have seen it spelled as Hufstetter, Hoffstater,
  21. Hofstatter, Houghstater, Huffstater, etc.

  23. My John Murray and Mary (Polly?) Huffstetter has at least two sons,
  24. Benjamin Franklin Murray and Thomas Jefferson Murray.  Thomas J. Murray
  25. named one of his sons Winfield Scott Murray.
