  12. I am looking for any information related to Plowden or Long Isle or the
  13. adventurers associated with it.

  15. In 1632 Sir Edward [Edmund] Plowden and other English adventurers proposed
  16. to settle a colony or plantation on Plowden or Long Isle. This isle was
  17. reported to be located between 39 and 40 degrees north latitude, about 60
  18. leagues northwards of James City [Virginia] without [outside] the Bay of
  19. Chesapeake, and about six leagues from the Main[land] near De La Warre 
  20. [Delaware] Bay.

  22. Apparently this adventure was unsuccessful. Does anyone know the location and
  23. current name of Plowden isle? Does anyone know anything of Sir Edward, Sir
  24. John Lawrence, or others associated with this adventure?
