  15. I'm fairly new to this list, and would like some help on a particular
  16. relative of mine.  Alexander GILMORE (he had no middle name), born in
  17. Egypt, No Carolina (Chatham Co) on July 18, 1845, married Mary
  18. Catherine SPEAIRS on January 18, 1876 in Shiloh, Texas.  He served in
  19. the Civil War, in the Army of Virginia, Company E, 44th Regiment,
  20. No Carolina Troops.  Died July 14, 1909.

  22. What I'm specifically trying to discover is who his parents were.  We
  23. have absolutely no record of any of his near relatives, other than
  24. his wife and children.  Any help whatsoever, including methods of
  25. research, would be most appreciated.
