  16. My great grandfather Michael Dee was born in St. Catherines, Ontario,
  17. September 6, 1854.  He had 2 brothers, William born 1855 and Richard
  18. born 1856 in Gilford, Ontario and 4 sisters Frances, Harriet, Anna,
  19. Mary and Cora.  There were 2 infants stillborn.  Parents of these
  20. children were Robert Dee and Jane Matterly, Mattingly, Matternly.
  21. Jane was born in 1834 and died in 1919 in Bay City, Michigan.  Family
  22. lore says Jane had 2 brothers that were Methodist Episcopal Ministers
  23. in Canada and Robert was Irish Catholic and a tanner by trade.  Supposedly
  24. they lived in Canada near Holland's Landing and perhaps for awhile in
  25. Pennsylvania.  Jane and Robert were divorced or at least she and the
  26. kids left and she and Richard and the girls ended up in Bay City
  27. Michigan where she ran a boarding house.  Unfortunately the great aunt
  28. that told me this is long dead and while I can fill in some names of
  29. spouses and bring my line to present day, I can not find any thing
  30. on Robert Dee or Jane.  Can some one help me, Is there any one out
  31. there looking for Dees.  Where is Holland's Landing and St. Catherines?
