  12. My great-grandmother, Gertude Florence Moore, born 31 January 1896 in
  13. Mount Vernon, Jefferson County, Illinois, died 25 October 1970 in
  14. LaPorte, LaPorte County, Indiana, always swore that she was related to
  15. Admiral George Dewey. Her parents were Alexander Moore (nothing but name
  16. known) and Melvina (1852-1936, last name not known). Does anyone know of
  17. any Moores among the relatives of Admiral Dewey?
