  15. Several people seem to doubt the authenticity of the mta@ca logins/postings.
  16. Why not analyse postings from the logins in question and try to see if they
  17. are written by the same person? I studied Linguistics here in Edinburgh - 
  18. one of our modules was in prose analysis/machine translation - analysing 
  19. prose to >help< determine authorship is fascinating, and not too hard to do.

  21. Unfortunately, I need a decent sized corpus from each mta@ca poster, the
  22. bigger the better (ooerr!). If someone who has saved their postings so far
  23. could forward them to me, and the mta@ca people each cared to write me with 
  24. some blurb about the same topic, say "My Social and Academic life at Mt.
  25. Alison", I'll dig up my old undergrad project code and post my findings in a
  26. week or two (work prevents speedy turnaround).
