- Hi folks, time for an overt appeal to Gay Privelege:
-
- Are there any motssers in Santa Fe who can take me in
- for the month of June? The Santa Fe Institute is having
- a summer school in Complex Systems that I badly want to
- attend.
-
- First, about me:
-
- I'm a physics grad student at SUNY Stony Brook (NY).
- I love philosophy and science -- that's why this summer
- school is so interesting to me. They're working on a
- general theory of organization in complex systems
- ranging from economies to ecosystems to the human brain.
- And it has deep connections to physics, too. (My work can
- have some real-life relevance!)
-
- Practical considerations:
-
- 1) First I have to get accepted. I hear there are
- three applicants for each position.
-
- 2) Room/board support is limited, I'z poor, and I hear
- it would cost two THOUSAND dollars for an apartment
- just for the month of June!!
-
- So, if I do get accepted but don't get room/board support,
- I might not have the dough to go. If I don't get accepted,
- but I can stay with a friendly someone, they just might
- take me anyway. Got it?
-
- Many thanks in advance,
-
- Kenji
-
- P.S. Yes, I'm an eligible bachelor.
