  14. I was at MIT 1976-1981, and back then, it was the GAMIT message center that 
  15. was always burned, smashed, painted, or whatever. I never figured out what it
  16. was folks had against it other than misdirected prejudice. My policy is that
  17. no matter how gays can be criticized for their innaccurate facts, or any othe
  18. statistical anomolies, people should be accepted as they are, even if they
  19. might be encouraged to be or do something else. Come to think of it, of all t
  20. he big whop-de-do raging controversies and outrages (and there wer lots of 
  21. them) harassment of gays somehow never got people's attention. jews, blacks,
  22. arabs, military, they go theirs, but the gays always stayed in the background
