  24. pro-life movement?   But what about all those women in the pro-life

  26. Too many feminists proclaiming that "all men are pigs."
  27. Too many feminists telling us the problem is violence against women
  28. when the real problem is violence, period.   Too many feminists promoting
  29. the notion that all men are oppressors, all women are victims, that
  30. men have all the power, women have none (why is it, then, that so very
  31. men feel so very powerLESS?).

  33. No, I cannot be a feminist man.   But I can -- and do -- support the
  34. recovery, psychology and spirituality aspects of feminism.   Indeed,
  35. while I had difficulty with her mistaken feminist notion of men as
  36. articulated in the book, one of the best books I've read is Gloria
  37. Steinem's _Revolution from Within_.

  39. But I have too much self-esteem not to recognize that men must
  40. -- absolutely and without hesitation -- confront the shadow of
  41. feminism.

  47. There's something ironic about feminism and feminists.   The most vocal
  48. feminists I've known -- those who were loudest in calling "all men are
  49. pigs!" -- also seemed to treat other women worse than they treat men.
  50. My wife, a soft-spoken feminist, has observed this phenomenon, also.
  51. Funny, I thought the notion of feminism was to promote women and
  52. femininity, not to bash it.
