  14. One thing I learned working with mens groups and so on, was to own the
  15. "shadow side" of my personality.  You see, I look like Richie Cunningham
  16. and have acted pretty much like the same.  Yet inside of me, there is 
  17. a self-centered, willful, wildman..a veritable..jerk!  And realizing 
  18. that I am an amalgum of characters rather than just a "nice guy" was
  19. an important step in my growth.  "Nice guy" is a role that people get
  20. locked into.  It's a limiting stereotype.  Beyond rigid roles is 
  21. freedom and a sense of excitement.  It is attractive to people in
  22. general; fortunately including beautiful intelligent females.

  24. Complaining about the jerk/nice-guy thing is a losing proposition.
